Young lovers become international fugitives when girlfriend Elizabeth Haysom’s parents are found murdered in their family home. Was Jens Söring seduced by a beautiful, brilliant, devious young woman or are they simply cold-blooded killers?
Strengths: -Includes excerpts from letters between the former lovers -Interview with Jens Söring threaded through the entire series, in German (also, I loved seeing the facial reaction of the correctional officer) -Trial footage
Weaknesses: -This docuseries is one-sided -It could benefit from interviews with people connected to Miss Haysom
Final Thought: Elizabeth Haysom’s cadence and demeanor are mesmerizing; I found myself completely enthralled with the trial footage of her presented in the docuseries. It convinced me that this person would have no trouble manipulating her accomplices.
